From the Servery: Snow Day Meal Shifts

When a Snow Day occurs, the scheduled meal for that day will be moved to the next school day. This means every meal is pushed forward in order for at least the next two days.

Example:

If Wednesday becomes a Snow Day, the Wednesday meal (and its count) will be served on Thursday. The Thursday meal will then move to Friday, and so on.

Please be aware that if you ordered a specific meal for a certain day, the actual meal served may change due to this shift. Thank you for paying close attention to these updates.

Ordering Meals

If your student needs a meal modification, please contact Ms. Shannon right away at the above email.

Our lunch team is having problems with order emails being active.  Please double check your email before submitting your order. If you do not receive an order confirmation email, please check your spam folder. Making a hard copy of your choices may be helpful as well.

Meal Benefits Application

Students attending CharterChoice (SFA) partner charter schools will continue to be offered free meals while the Healthy School Meals for All (HSMA) program is in place. Given the uncertainties regarding the continuation of the HSMA program through the entirety of the 2025-26 school year, it is especially important that eligible families still continue to provide their household income information by completing the Combination Form (or “Combo Form”- Meal Benefits Application/Family Economic Data Survey).

The online combination form is currently and accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year at charterchoice.strataapps.com. 

Meals at MPA

Meals at MPA are brought in by My Kid's Lunch and served to all students by Ms. Shannon. To volunteer in the servery with Ms. Shannon, please sign up for slots here.

All meals served will be unitized. Unitized meals are individually portioned, packaged, delivered, and served as a unit. *All meals are served with a choice of 1% or skim white milk. Chocolate skim milk is offered on Fridays. ** All grains served are whole grains. ***Menu is subject to change based on item availability.

Please note: If we have a snow day, that day's meals are pushed to the next day, as well as the amount ordered. Because of the planning, purchasing, and preparation of food, this is usually a two-day cycle. For example, if we have a snow day on Tuesday, Tuesday's meals get pushed to Wednesday and frequently Wednesday's meals also get pushed to Thursday. Thursday's meals are skipped altogether and we are back on schedule for Friday's meals.
