Janel Propp-Meneghini, Reading Interventionist

Email: janel.propp-meneghini@jeffco.k12.co.us

Hello MPA families, I'm Janel Meneghini. I very much enjoy working with your students in our reading groups! Please feel free to contact me with your questions regarding my work with your student. I also have fun ideas for how you can support the development of reading skills at home.

About Me

This is my sixth year at MPA.  I started here as the tutor for multilingual students, and this is my third year as the reading teacher. Before that, I taught first grade and reading intervention at other Jeffco schools. My education includes a master's degree in Elementary Education, an added teaching endorsement in culturally and linguistically diverse education, and training in Orton-Gillingham reading instruction.

When I am not teaching, I am often spending time with my husband and our two daughters. My favorite things to do in my free time are hiking, biking, reading, and playing board games.

Hello MPA Community! My name is Angie Mackey and I am the elementary math interventionist. I may be reached at the above email if you would like to discuss the math work your student is working on with me and/or how you can support your child at home.

About Me

I earned my Lower Elementary Montessori training in 2005 after teaching special education and worked at Compass Montessori before starting a family. In 2011 my daughter began preschool here, and then my son followed suit in 2012. I began working with MPA's homeschool program 10 years ago, and then as a lead lower elementary teacher, and most recently as a math interventionist for the inaugural 7th grade class of MPA's middle school. I am thrilled to be support 1st-6th grade students in their math endeavors!

When I'm not in the "Math Cave", I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, reading, camping, yoga, and working on my golf game.

About Me

This is my 8th year at Montessori Peaks.  After 4 years in an MPA Lower El classroom and remote teaching during COVID, I moved into the position of math interventionist and MTSS coordinator.  As of this school year, MPA hired a wonderful math interventionist (Angie Mackey) and I moved to the North Building to focus on all things coordinator.

When not supporting MPA's students, teachers, and families, I enjoy paddleboarding, hiking, fiber arts, and curling up with a good book.  My son is following in my footsteps and attending UNCO so I also enjoy visiting Greeley and spending time with him on and off campus.
